Hand Sewing with Mrs. Dymek
Tuesdays | Grades: 1st
Description
3:00-4:00pm Tuesdays- April 8, 15, 29; May 6, 13, 20 Students will engage in developing fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities all while creating a soft, hand sewn project. Through different patterns and designs the students will show their creativity in a calm and peaceful environment. Sewing activities can improve attention span and concentration as the students will have to pay close attention to the details of the task. Each week we will have a different theme (animals, monsters, dogs, food, etc…) and the students will be able to pick a different character to create. They will use child safe, plastic sewing needles to create their own project to bring home. The projects will be pre cut, and hole punched to allow for success in creating the project. Come sew with me!
